Could you convince a panel of judges that you have ridiculously strong passion to travel around the world and capture your experiences through blogs, photos and videos? If so, you can go on a three-month, 15 country — all expenses paid — travel adventure (voluntourism included)! Student Travel Association (STA), the largest youth and student travel organization in the world, is holding their 2009 World Traveler Internship Contest. This year they’re selecting two interns to travel the world. You don’t have to be a student, but you need to be between ages 18-26.
You’ll be traveling to some of the world’s most exotic, historic and breathtaking destinations!
Submit a video entry explaining why you should be chosen. The more comments/ratings/views your videos and blogs receive online (i.e., STA Travelers / YouTube / Facebook), the better your chances. The top 20 applicants advance to the final, which includes a phone interview with the judges. The final 10 will submit another video giving the judges a tour of their hometown before the two World Traveler Interns are selected.
The trip begins in Fiji, where the interns will volunteer at a building project and teach at a local school. There is also time to get out and explore the island and learn about the Fijian culture.
For more details about the contest and entry specifics, go to statravel.com/wti. Entry deadline is March 8.
